A bit surprised to see this collection resting at a four.12 (equally of 12/nine/17), every bit I really wasn't able to find anything remarkable within it.

There'southward no dubiousness to me that some of these pieces would serve as positive affirmation for many people (primarily women, it seems to be the target of Sin's writing). Sin relies primarily on the pronoun "you" throughout the text, as they're speaking directly to the person reading the book and it's Mostly in a positive calorie-free or as a means of encouragement. Ane poem reads "information technology is you who volition salvage yourself/considering this is what you've always done/because y'all are stiff enough/to exercise so". This repeats throughout, as the poems seem to take an urgency in tone in helping one out of an abusive relationship of sorts (this is afterward directly referenced much later on in the collection itself).

The ideas are there and are interesting...the language just feels painfully sophomoric throughout. I canis familiaris-eared a few that I particularly liked but past big it did aught for me. I would admittedly recommend it to someone in the midst of a difficult relationship state of affairs, however.

ane.v/5 stars. I didn't like information technology.

I have read this volume three times, and in all honesty, I didn't enjoy it very much. It was painfully sophomoric, redundant, lacked depth and poetic language. I personally wouldn't even consider ninety% of this book as poetry, merely rather general statements/advice. For many of the poems, the vocabulary took abroad the quality of the poems and equally a event, the poems seemed underdeveloped and young. Sin would apply words similar "girls" instead of "women" or "human being kid/bad boys" instead of "men". Often, I would find myself falling in dear with a "poem's" commencement, but the vocabulary killed the high past the time I reached the end. There were less than a handful of poems that had great poetic language, but a majority of the book is written in a very sophomoric, demotic way.

It's not the redundancy in this particular book that annoys me, merely rather the redundancy of the same idea in all of Sin's books. It's undeniable that Sin has a heart for women who are mistreated and I know the intentions of this volume are pure, but I would love to run into him explore a new platform. Upon reading his poems, I oftentimes feel as though he writes what he believes people want to hear. I often feel like he provides ideas that he knows will sell, which makes sense due to how rapidly he publishes books every and so months. But when I read poetry, I crave personal experience. I crave depth, honesty, vulnerability, and power. I crave learning about the similar monsters people are afraid of, but face it and plow into fine art. I feel every bit though Sin is always talking about someone else in his poems more than his own life, and ever making himself out to be the "good guy," but what nigh the mistakes he's fabricated in relationships? What about his own personal experiences? His own regrets in mistreating women in his past? His inspiration? etc. It just annoys me that Sin makes himself out to be this "adept guy" that every women should wait for. I feel like his poems are written for other people (or atleast he writes them that manner), when the best stories reflect our ain lives. Our stories take the power to change people. I badly desire him to provide something new for the audience or maybe even alter his audience and write to men near their heartbreaking behavior, instead of reaffirming women about their cocky-worth. Women have enough books by other women about self worth. Theres only so many things yous can say near the same topic. I believe he tin say more to men instead of, " you lot'll miss her when she's gone bro." I'm craving something new from Sin. I really am. not seeing his growth equally a writer. every volume is the same.

Information technology'southward also axiomatic that Sin cocky-published this book due to the amount of typos. It seemed very unprofessional. Though, I might fence, and say perchance the typos were intentional. Information technology seems as if the book was rushed (hence the title, "i hope this reaches her in time") and the writer didn't have fourth dimension for pocket-sized details. What refutes this theory, though, is the thought that the volume is supposed to exist a phone conversation. Besides, the theme of the book was besides inconsistent. Y'all find the reader reading poems directed to himself (one or twice), poems most the "girl" the author is speaking of, a few poems about the guy who broke her heart, and one poem about rape. It simply didn't flow well to fit the theme of phone conversation that was supposed to occur.

Above all, the message in this book is important and its undeniable that the intentions of the writer are pure. The volume wasn't written very well, but I did notice several poems that were nice enough to share. They weren't anything that struck my eye and introduced me to new ideas, but they did give a soft touch of affidavit that any reader could relate to. I would, though, recommend this volume to women who are in relationships they know they shouldn't exist in; relationships that cause them pain and unhappiness. I even so believe there are better books out there by women that take more depth on this topic, only this book is good in terms of short affirmations.

Equally with many contemporary poetry books, I may non have liked this volume every bit a whole but a did like it in pieces. Many of these just would simply look prissy as Instagram captions or tweets on Twitter. They are short and subtle. Other than that, this volume didn't accept plenty for me to want to go on the book on my shelf and ever read it once more.

My Favorite "Poem(s)":

"girls like you have roses

than what you lot've settled for"

" i wish your want

Moreover, the premise of this poesy collection seems to be nothing more than than Squeamish Guy Wants Girl Who Loves "Bad Boys." Literally. The whole "she doesn't see me but she loves the wrong person" is the entire indicate of this whole drove of misguided poetry.

The author goes a step further and introduces daddy issues to the girl(southward) in question near the end. Also, a line seems to imply molestation. Basically, the author is looking for any excuse equally to why this girl doesn't honey him, abreast the obvious "she'due south only not that into you, bro."

"You, reading this
your eyes dancing
on this page
you, the one who knows
how information technology feels
to have their heart
racing out ir their chest
overrun with anxiety
desperate for relief

It is you lot who wants to be loved
understood for everything that you are
it is yous, the one reading this
the 1 who is close to tears
so close to breaking

Information technology is you who will save yourself
because this is what you take always done
because you lot're strong enough to do then."

I finished this book in one sitting.
Some of the poems were of medium lengt

"Y'all, reading this
your optics dancing
on this page
you, the one who knows
how it feels
to accept their centre
racing out ir their chest
overrun with feet
desperate for relief

It is you who wants to be loved
understood for everything that yous are
it is you, the one reading this
the ane who is close to tears
so shut to breaking

It is you who will save yourself
because this is what you take ever done
because you're potent enough to do then."

I finished this book in i sitting.
Some of the poems were of medium length, while equally some pages were just filled with a single judgement eg. "𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙" and "121914" was written on ane folio, which made no sense.
The writer kept irresolute his POVs, it would have been better if the volume had sections and so the author would alter his POV.
But if you've just started reading this "modern poetry" and so you should check out this volume, it might be fun for beginners.
One of my favorites is:
"You can miss people
and don't have to
want them dorsum

You tin can forgive people
merely y'all don't have to
give them second chances."

This verse collection made me cry. This is not the commencement collection that impacted me, merely it is the beginning to make my eyes well with tears.
When I read the poem to a higher place, I lost it and my tears escaped.

This poetry collection made me weep. This is not the first collection that impacted me, simply it is the first to brand my eyes well with tears.
When I read the poem higher up, I lost it and my tears escaped.

I connected with EVERY poem. ALL of them. I felt similar r.h.Sin understood me and I felt like he was talking to me. My heart felt so heavy, I felt total of emotions, like I was going to explode. I tin can't explicate the feeling...you have to feel it yourself.

This will forever be my favourite collection. I'm still trying to hold back tears. These words are so powerful and I feel them entwining with my soul.

This is my story. Thanks r.h.Sin.

I read this with no expectation just just to enjoy poems by the genius, R. H. Sin. Even so, i am left without words. On this day, two years ago, my heart and earth were shattered. This book is so fitting to this as I am still healing and still learning to dearest myself.

I don't read poetry

I bought this book because it was .99 cents and a short read. After the offset few pages it had me in tears. Longing for someone is not a good feeling only being hopeful is, and this book is simply that.
